Since 2023, Buckwood School`s new campus has been operating on Gelovani. Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field. (A qualification in Education or Pedagogy is highly desirable). Work Experience: ** Minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching Mathematics. ** Preferred Advantage: Prior experience teaching international curricula (A Level, AS Level, IB, or AP) is strongly preferred. ** Language Proficiency: Fluent in English at a C1/C2 level (as instruction, textbooks, and examination materials are entirely in English). Professional Knowledge & Skills Curriculum Knowledge: ** Deep understanding of Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge ** Assessment International Education (CAIE) specifications. Subject Matter Expertise: ** Mastery and effective delivery of Advanced Mathematics ** fields, including: - Pure Mathematics: Algebra, Functions, Calculus, Vectors, Trigonometry. - Statistics: Probability, Data Analysis, Hypothesis Testing. - Mechanics: Kinematics, Newton`s Laws, Forces and Moments. Exam Strategies: Proven track record of preparing students for specific exam formats, utilizing past papers, and mastering marking schemes. Technology Integration: Proficiency in incorporating graphing calculators (e.g., Casio fx-CG50) and mathematical software into the learning process. Core Soft Skills Communication Skills: ** Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple, clear, and structured manner. ** Differentiated Instruction: Skill in tailoring teaching methods to accommodate students with diverse academic backgrounds and needs. ** Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage curriculum volume and ensure all topics are thoroughly covered before exams. ** Motivation & Empathy: Ability to foster a love for the subject and support students in managing exam-related stress. Key Responsibilities: ** Plan and deliver lessons in strict accordance with A Level standards. ** Continuously monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student progress. ** Organize, administer, and analyze mock examinations. ** Maintain active and professional communication with parents and school administration.
