LC Queisser Gallery is seeking a highly organized and detail- oriented Art Logistics Coordinator/Storage manager to oversee the gallery’s artwork storage, inventory management, logistics, and technical production. The role requires a combination of strong organizational skills, practical knowledge of art handling, and the ability to coordinate complex projects involving artists, exhibitions, shippers, and external partners. Art Logistics Coordinator/Storage manager will be responsible for maintaining the gallery’s inventory system, ensuring the safe storage and movement of artworks, coordinating international shipments, and supporting the technical realization of exhibitions and artist projects. Responsibilities Artwork Storage & Inventory Management Overseetheorganizationanddailymanagementofthegallery’s storage facilities. Maintain accurate records of all artworks, including locations, condition reports, dimensions, and movement history. Coordinateartworkintake,storage,packing,andinstallation preparation. Ensure artworks are stored safely according to professional art handling standards. Regularly review and optimize storage organization and capacity. Logistics & International Shipments • Coordinate local and international transportation of artworks. Request and compare shipping quotes, coordinate with art shippers, and manage shipment schedules. Organizetheproductionofcustomcratesandpackingmaterials according to artwork specifications. Oversee customs documentation, shipping paperwork, and communication with logistics partners. Managethepreparation,packing,anddispatchofartworksfor exhibitions, fairs, and loans. Exhibition Production & Technical Coordination Support the technical realization of exhibitions, installations, and gallery projects. Work closely with artists, curators, and the gallery team to understand and execute production requirements. Coordinate installation plans, technical needs, materials, fabrication, and external suppliers. Assist artists with the production and realization of new works. Oversee technical aspects of exhibition preparation, including installation, deinstallation, and maintenance. Artist & Production Support Communicate with artists regarding technical specifications, materials, timelines, and production needs. Coordinate fabrication processes and liaise with workshops, contractors, and suppliers. Sourcematerialsandmanageproductionschedulesandbudgets. Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines and quality standards. Requirements Experience working in art logistics, storage management, exhibition production, or a related field. Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of artwork handling, packing, and transportation procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Practical understanding of exhibition installation and technical production. Experience coordinating with international shippers and external suppliers is an advantage. Goodcommunicationskillsandabilitytoworkcollaboratively with artists and gallery teams. Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Georgian and/or other languages is an advantage. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve practical challenges efficiently.
