## Job description

About the Job: Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding & Logistics When you join Phasis Logistics, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of an international transport and logistics business. You will work closely with customers, operational partners and management, with significant responsibility for developing the market and delivering profitable logistics solutions. We handle a broad range of transportation requirements, from standard containerised freight to multimodal, automotive, oversized and project cargo movements across Georgia, the Caucasus, Central Asia and international markets. We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to build our customer portfolio, strengthen our market position and convert new opportunities into long-term business relationships. This role is responsible for developing a high-quality sales pipeline, identifying customer needs and coordinating competitive transport solutions across road, sea, rail and multimodal services. Key Responsibilities Drive Commercial Growth: Develop and execute business development activities to achieve agreed revenue, gross-profit and customer-acquisition targets. Build and Convert the Sales Pipeline: Identify, qualify and pursue new opportunities among Georgian importers, exporters, manufacturers, EPC contractors, energy and infrastructure companies, automotive businesses and other cargo owners. Develop the Customer Portfolio: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers while growing a sustainable and profitable portfolio of B2B logistics customers. Lead Solution Design and Pricing: Work with operational teams, carriers, subcontractors and international partners to develop competitive, reliable and commercially viable transport solutions. Manage Proposals and Negotiations: Prepare and present quotations, commercial proposals and tender submissions, and negotiate rates, terms and service agreements. Provide Market and Business Insight: Monitor customer demand, competitor activity, pricing dynamics and trade developments to identify new opportunities and support commercial decision-making. Develop Market Positioning: Support customer targeting, service positioning and go-to-market initiatives for Phasis Logistics in Georgia and the wider region. Build Strategic Partnerships: Strengthen relationships with carriers, overseas agents, subcontractors and other industry stakeholders to improve service capabilities and commercial competitiveness. Maintain Commercial Discipline: Keep accurate pipeline information, provide regular sales forecasts and ensure that new business meets agreed profitability, credit and service-quality requirements. Represent Phasis Logistics: Participate in customer meetings, industry events and relevant commercial engagements in Georgia and, when required, across the region. What We’re Looking For At least three years of business development or B2B sales experience within freight forwarding, international transportation or logistics. A demonstrable track record of independently identifying, winning and developing profitable customer accounts. An established and relevant professional network among Georgian importers, exporters and logistics decision-makers is essential. Strong understanding of international road, sea and rail transportation and the ability to develop multimodal logistics solutions. Experience in project cargo, oversized and heavy-lift transportation, automotive logistics or the Middle Corridor will be considered a strong advantage. Experience translating customer requirements into practical, competitive and profitable commercial solutions. Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to manage pipeline performance, pricing, profitability and customer-development priorities. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills. A structured and analytical approach to sales planning, market development and performance reporting. Ability to work independently, take ownership of commercial results and coordinate effectively with operational and external stakeholders. Fluent Georgian and English. Knowledge of Russian will be considered a strong advantage. Willingness to attend regular customer meetings and travel when required.
