Obtain complete clinical histories, verify orders, and evaluate patient conditions for contraindications. Set up equipment, position patients, and deliver high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. Review ultrasound images for clinical acceptability, ensure proper documentation, and send studies to PACS. Assist with patient preparation, provide clear explanations, and address questions using AIDET principles. Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and ensure departmental cleanliness and organization. Operate ultrasound workstations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and adhere to infection control standards. Participate in training, complete mandatory education, and support team members as needed. Follow all policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards, including patient identification and privacy protocols. Qualifications & Skills High School diploma or GED; diagnostic medical sonography training preferred. Certifications: ARDMS, CCI, or RDCS upon hire; BLS certification required. Minimum of 1 year echocardiography experience or related training; formal sonography or cardiovascular technology education preferred.
