## Job description

Role Overview: A physical therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Treatment Planning: Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient/family input, provides education and discharge instructions, and refers to community resources. Patient Assessment: Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans, documenting evaluations and treatment sessions. Professional Practice: Adheres to ethical standards, maintains confidentiality, demonstrates effective communication, participates in staff meetings, and organizes workload efficiently. Customer Service & Teamwork: Applies AIDET principles, fosters a positive environment, respects patients and colleagues, and promotes teamwork and trust. Professional Development: Engages in ongoing education, completes required competencies, participates in training, and adheres to organizational policies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy; valid PT license; BLS certification; effective communication skills; customer service orientation; team player; basic computer skills.
