Maintains equipment, records, and adheres to established protocols, exercising independent judgment. May supervise and teach laboratory staff, contributing to performance improvements and inspection readiness. Key Responsibilities Ensure correct patient and specimen identification, accurate testing, and reporting within turnaround times. Analyze, interpret, and report lab data, recognizing clinical correlations. Document investigations, manage quality control, and participate in proficiency testing. Maintain laboratory instrumentation and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Contribute to laboratory performance improvement initiatives and procedure development. Participate in training, meetings, and educational activities to stay current with policies and procedures. Adhere to institutional standards of conduct and safety protocols. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required at hire. Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience preferred. Proficiency in computer/data entry, with knowledge of Excel, Word, and basic computer operations; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
