## Job description

Role Summary: This position involves performing clinical laboratory testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining equipment and records. The role requires analyzing, investigating, and reporting lab data, adhering to quality assurance protocols, and contributing to laboratory performance improvements. Key Responsibilities Maintain acceptable accuracy in patient testing, proficiency, and competency assessments. Ensure correct specimen identification and document investigation of QA failures. Report lab data accurately within established turnaround times and interpret results in clinical context. Monitor test status, document communications, and adhere to department procedures and standards of behavior. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, inspection preparations, and cost-efficient practices. Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, and participate in ongoing education. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred. Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire. Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience preferred. Proficiency in computer/data entry, communication skills, and familiarity with tools like Excel, Word, and LIS systems. Experience with Epic and 3M is a plus. Additional Requirements: Maintain ongoing training, participate in team activities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
