Role Description Foresight Investment Group is seeking a Chief Investment Officer to lead its Investment Department. Reporting to the Director, the CIO will set the investment strategy and overall portfolio direction for the funds under management, oversee fund managers and risk, chair the Investment Committee, and build a high-performing investment team supported by modern processes and technology. Key responsibilities The CIO will develop the funds' investment strategies, ensuring they align with market conditions, regulatory requirements, investors' best interests, and the company's objectives. This includes defining asset allocation policy across funds, overseeing investment hypotheses, models, and research, and adapting strategies in response to macroeconomic and market developments. The role carries direct oversight of fund managers and continuous analysis of performance across all managed funds. The CIO will adjust strategies and positions in response to changes in interest rates, credit risk, and liquidity, and will periodically review portfolio structure, returns, and risk profiles. The CIO will design and implement the investment risk management framework, manage risk at the portfolio level, and monitor risk metrics on an ongoing basis. Supporting this, the CIO will lead monitoring of local and international markets and develop economic scenario and stress-testing models. As chair of the Investment Committee, the CIO will plan and lead its meetings, manage the decision-making process, and direct the evaluation, review, and approval of investment proposals. The role also covers the Group's voluntary private pension schemes: developing their investment policy, risk, and asset allocation models, monitoring and evaluating pension portfolio managers, ensuring compliance with pension regulation, and engaging with supervisory authorities. On the operational side, the CIO will drive automation, data quality, and standardization of investment processes, enhance portfolio accounting, NAV automation, risk monitoring, and reporting systems, and work with technology teams on data architecture and BI tools. Finally, the CIO will recruit, mentor, and develop fund managers, analysts, and other team members, embed professional standards, methodologies, and best practices, and foster a strong culture of research and innovation. What We Are Looking For Investment expertise. Strong expertise in investment strategy, with a proven ability to design and implement diversified, risk-adjusted approaches. Hands-on experience in investment and portfolio management, including oversight of multi-asset portfolios, performance optimization, and fixed income, credit, and liquidity management. Analytical depth. Advanced knowledge of finance, capital markets, and macroeconomic analysis to guide decision-making and risk assessment. Proficiency in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and investment research tools and platforms. Leadership. Extensive experience leading investment teams, setting strategic priorities, and delivering results in a financial institution or asset management environment. Regulation and risk. Strong understanding of the regulatory frameworks and risk management practices of Georgian and international financial markets, including those governing investment funds and private pensions. Communication and judgment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly to stakeholders and clients. High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a track record of disciplined, data-driven decision-making. Education and languages.
