Role Description The Cloud DevOps Engineer will work on-site in Wuppertal in a full-time capacity, supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing Infrastructure as Code configurations, maintaining CI/CD workflows, and collaborating with software development teams to ensure reliable and efficient releases. The role involves administering Linux-based systems, monitoring performance and availability, and troubleshooting production and staging environments. The Cloud DevOps Engineer will also contribute to improving security, automation, and scalability across mission-critical platforms, working closely with stakeholders to align infrastructure with business and technical requirements. Qualifications Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for provisioning and managing cloud resources. Solid Software Development experience (e.g., Python, Go, Java) to create automation tools, scripts, and integrations. Hands-on Continuous Integration experience (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Proficient System Administration capabilities, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers and services. Advanced Linux knowledge for managing and optimizing production-grade environments. Experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial. Familiarity with security best practices, networking fundamentals, and observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
