Our ongoing projects are in full swing, and we’re dedicated to delivering top-notch work without being tied down by a strict corporate structure. We’re looking for a Lead Game Designer to join the core team of our unique Social RolePlay project, OneState, which has no direct counterparts in the mobile market. Our game designers face numerous non-trivial challenges, allowing them to showcase their expertise and a wide range of skills to achieve the top results we strive for. Apply now Apply now Expectations What We Want To See 4+ years of experience as a Game Designer, Core Game Designer, or Feature Owner. Proven experience owning major gameplay features from initial concept through implementation and in-build validation. Experience creating and maintaining vision documents, technical specifications, GDDs, and other game design documentation. Ability to break down external references, gameplay mechanics, and technical solutions into actionable components. Understanding of UX principles and the ability to analyze player behavior to identify opportunities to improve core gameplay. Basic skills in creating UI/UX mockups and prototypes to validate design decisions. Understanding of how game engines work and confidence navigating their interfaces. Strong expertise in midcore/hardcore genres, particularly Shooters, Racing Sims, and Third-Person Action games. Experience tuning and polishing 3Cs (Character, Controls, Camera), as well as physics-based interactions. Ability to make independent design decisions, explain the rationale behind them, and collaborate effectively with Development, UI/UX, QA, and Production teams. Additionally, It Would Be Great To Have Experience with Unity, including familiarity with GameObjects and ScriptableObjects, as well as a basic understanding of animation systems. Technical proficiency and basic programming skills. Experience developing games under performance and optimization constraints, including network, CPU/RAM, and mobile limitations. Experience setting up R& D processes, prototyping, and hypothesis testing. Experience mentoring or providing functional leadership to other Game Designers. Ability to read technical and professional literature in English fluently. What You Will Be Doing Game Design Leadership Define and maintain the design vision for core gameplay systems, ensuring consistency across mechanics and features. Set design standards and quality expectations for core gameplay features and documentation. Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and ensure effective execution. Provide guidance and feedback to other Game Designers, helping maintain the quality and consistency of design solutions. Take ownership of core gameplay quality and contribute to key design decisions throughout development. Feature Ownership Guide features through production: break them down into actionable tasks, communicate the design intent to the team, and answer questions throughout implementation. Create and maintain GDDs, technical specifications, and feature documentation. Identify risks, dependencies, and open questions before development begins. Align design decisions with Development, UI/UX, and QA. Review and validate features in-game, ensuring the quality and completeness of implementation. Analyze external games and references to identify relevant mechanics, design patterns, and technical solutions. R& D and Discovery Participate in R& D by creating Prototype Plans and R& D plans, building prototypes as a Game Designer, and validating design hypotheses. Explore alternative solutions and assess their feasibility in collaboration with the development team. Identify opportunities to improve the core gameplay experience and propose new features that enhance its depth, quality, and overall feel.
