GPI Ingegneria has relevant experience in Georgia , including the Khevi–Argveta , Khvesheti–Kobi , and Tbilisi Bypass Road design projects, contributing to the planning and design of major road infrastructure in the country. We are looking for Cost Estimator to be stationed in our office in Tbilisi. Qualifications – Cost Estimator Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related field. Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in construction cost estimation, quantity surveying, or related cost management activities. Highway Experience: Demonstrated experience in the preparation of cost estimates for highway and road infrastructure design projects , including major road and associated infrastructure works. Cost Estimation: Proven ability to prepare detailed and reliable construction cost estimates based on design drawings, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and quantity take-offs. Cost Data & Pricing: Familiarity with construction unit rates, market prices, construction materials, labour, equipment, and other cost components relevant to highway projects. Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with cost-estimation or quantity-surveying software is an advantage. English Language: Fluency in English, minimum B2 level , with the ability to prepare and review technical and financial documentation in English. Local / National Staff: The expert shall be Georgian national staff , with good knowledge of the local construction market, applicable standards, construction costs, and local pricing conditions. Responsibilities / Scope of Work Describe what the Cost Estimator will actually be expected to do. For example: 1. Prepare detailed construction cost estimates for highway design projects. 2. Review design drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs. 3. Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations. 4. Develop and update unit rates based on current market conditions. 5. Coordinate with engineers and other technical specialists. 6. Review and validate cost estimates prepared during different design stages. 7. Support preparation and updating of project budgets. 8. Identify significant cost variations and provide explanations. 9. Ensure consistency between quantities, BOQs, and cost estimates. 10. Prepare cost-estimation reports and supporting documentation.
