## Job description

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They work as essential members of a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures according to department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality while maintaining safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Operate imaging and radiographic equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize diagnostic quality and minimize dose (ALARA). Prepare and position patients, explain procedures using AIDET, and ensure their comfort, privacy, and safety. Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and screen for contraindications before exams. Administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile techniques when required, and perform exams with proper positioning and shielding. Review images for accuracy, repeat or correct as needed, and ensure proper documentation in RIS/PACS systems. Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment maintenance and infection control. Organize workflow, support department operations, and adhere to regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications including ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
