## Job description

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They operate imaging equipment independently, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. They perform exams, administer contrast, and ensure proper documentation within RIS/PACS systems. The role involves preparing patients, explaining procedures using AIDET, and addressing questions to reduce anxiety. Technologists monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support infection control and equipment maintenance. Collaboration with the care team and adherence to regulatory standards are essential. Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department guidelines; adjust techniques for optimal diagnostic quality at the lowest dose (ALARA). Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout imaging procedures. Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients properly before exams. Review and process images, re-taking or correcting as needed; finalize studies in RIS/PACS. Maintain equipment, keep work areas clean, and report issues promptly. Support emergency response, restock supplies, and assist with patient transport. Organize workflows, support department operations, and adhere to regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 1 year of radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association). Additional Info: The role offers competitive pay, shift differential, a sign-on bonus, and benefits including PTO, mental health support, wellness resources, and career development programs.
