They are vital members of a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures according to department protocols, capturing diagnostic images, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities Include Operating imaging equipment independently while maintaining diagnostic quality with minimal radiation exposure (ALARA). Preparing and maintaining equipment and rooms, reporting issues promptly. Obtaining clinical history, verifying patient identity and orders, and explaining procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety. Ensuring patient privacy, comfort, and safety, including administering contrast via venipuncture as needed. Positioning patients, applying shielding, and reviewing images for diagnostic acceptability. Documenting procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, managing patient condition during exams, and responding to emergencies. Supporting department workflows, maintaining orderliness, transporting patients safely, and adhering to regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
