## Job description

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience within a collaborative care team. They perform CT procedures following department guidelines, operate imaging equipment independently, and ensure diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). They maintain equipment cleanliness, identify and report issues, and verify patient information and clinical history. Additionally, they explain procedures, ensure patient comfort and safety, administer contrast using sterile techniques, and position patients correctly. The technologist reviews images for diagnostic quality, documents procedures accurately, and ensures studies are properly stored in RIS/PACS systems. They monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support department workflows, including maintaining supplies and adhering to regulatory standards. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least one year of radiology experience, and certifications in ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.
