## Job description

Role Overview: This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety, quality results, and equipment maintenance. The technologist adjusts techniques to minimize radiation exposure while ensuring image clarity, verifies patient identity, and follows safety protocols. They assist with patient preparation, provide clear explanations, and respond to emergency situations, maintaining patient dignity and comfort. Key Responsibilities Operate imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and safety standards. Prepare patients, obtain clinical histories, and follow procedures for contrast media administration. Verify patient identities and adhere to infection control and sterile techniques. Assist in emergency responses and maintain equipment functionality. Contribute to quality control by producing acceptable images and maintaining equipment calibration. Document procedures accurately and perform routine departmental operations, including patient transport and supply management. Participate in departmental training, communicate effectively with patients, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills Certificate in Radiologic Technology required. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT-R Radiography, BLS, ARC-BLS, BLS-Instructor. Dependable, flexible, and able to work independently with critical thinking skills. Strong communication, patient care, and technical skills essential.
