## Job description

This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety, image quality, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include adjusting techniques to minimize radiation dose, verifying clinician orders, obtaining patient history, and ensuring proper patient identification and privacy. Technologists set up and operate imaging equipment, assist with patient positioning, and respond to emergency situations, maintaining sterile techniques and supporting patient comfort. They communicate effectively with patients and team members, providing clear explanations, instructions, and training when needed. Quality control tasks involve ensuring equipment functionality, producing acceptable images, and timely reporting studies to PACS. Operational duties include restocking supplies, transporting patients, performing clerical tasks, and maintaining department cleanliness. Key qualifications include a radiologic technology certification, minimum one year of radiology experience, ARRT-R certification, and BLS certification.
