## Job description

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging procedures with independence, technical expertise, and attention to patient comfort. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and performs a variety of imaging exams, including CT and radiography, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities Verify clinician orders, obtain patient history, and assess contraindications. Administer contrast medias safely, ensuring correct patient identification and marking. Review images for quality, respond to emergencies, and assist colleagues across modalities. Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and maintain patient dignity. Operate imaging equipment, adjust techniques for optimal dose and image quality, and maintain equipment cleanliness. Document procedures accurately, send images to PACS, and complete all required records. Transport patients, assist with positioning, and perform clerical duties such as patient charging. Follow infection control, quality assurance, and safety protocols, including radiation safety and quality control tests. Participate in departmental training, support team functions, and adhere to hospital policies and standards. Qualifications & Skills Accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Certifications: ARRT-Radiography, ARRT-CT, and BLS required upon hire. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience; CT experience preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control procedures.
