## Job description

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT and radiography, while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The technologist prepares and operates imaging equipment, positions patients accurately, and follows established protocols to produce clinically acceptable images. They verify orders, assess patient conditions, and respond to emergencies as needed. Key Responsibilities Verify clinician orders and obtain patient history. Ensure proper patient identification and safety protocols, including contrast media administration. Operate imaging equipment efficiently, adjusting techniques to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image quality. Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care. Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare staff, explaining procedures and addressing concerns. Maintain equipment, perform quality control, and troubleshoot technical issues. Document procedures accurately and ensure timely transfer of images to PACS and reports in RIS. Support departmental operations, restock supplies, and assist with clerical tasks. Participate in training and uphold compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology. Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS required upon hire. Minimum one year of radiology experience; CT experience preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control procedures.
