## Job description

Role Overview: This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily CT and radiography, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to protocols. The technologist demonstrates independent judgment, manages equipment setup, and positions patients accurately for high-quality imaging. Key Responsibilities Verify clinician orders and obtain complete clinical histories. Ensure proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort throughout procedures. Administer contrast media following established safety procedures. Operate imaging equipment, adjust techniques to minimize radiation dose, and maintain image quality. Review images for acceptability and ensure timely documentation and transfer to PACS. Assist with emergencies, restock supplies, transport patients, and maintain departmental cleanliness. Provide patient instructions, explain procedures, and respond to questions to reduce anxiety. Participate in quality control, equipment maintenance, and departmental training. Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and policies. Qualifications & Skills Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion. Certifications: ARRT-Radiography, ARRT-CT, BLS or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience; CT experience preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure, demonstrating attention to detail and professionalism. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control procedures.
