## Job description

Role Overview: Provides safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging procedures with independence and technical expertise. Responsible for equipment setup, patient positioning, and ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis or treatment. Key Responsibilities: Verifies clinician orders, reviews patient history, and assesses contraindications. Administers contrast medias following safety protocols. Ensures proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort during procedures. Operates imaging equipment, adjusts techniques to minimize radiation dose, and maintains equipment in optimal condition. Explains procedures to patients, addresses questions, and provides pre- and post-procedural care. Reviews images for quality, documents appropriately, and submits studies to PACS/RIS. Restocks supplies, transports patients, and maintains departmental cleanliness. Participates in training, quality control, and adheres to safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills: Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology. Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, BLS at minimum. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience; CT experience preferred. Strong communication skills, customer service focus, and ability to work independently under pressure. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control procedures.
