Job description

The Bank of Georgia is looking for a qualified Data Scientist to join our Data Analytics Department . You will work in a multidisciplinary, friendly team that is focused on professional development and creating real value. On a daily basis, you will process and analyze large-scale data, and with your analytical products, you will directly contribute to improving the banking services for up to two million customers. Your role will also involve developing LLM-based solutions and integrating them into our products and internal systems. If you want to use your skills to solve significant challenges and make real changes, then this position is for you. Main Functions of the Position: Data collection and pre-processing; Creation, optimization, evaluation, and validation of machine learning models; Deployment and monitoring of real-time and batch models; Optimization of modeling and implementation processes; Collaboration with the business, understanding its needs and values for cost-benefit analysis. Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of work experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; Strong experience in data manipulation and modeling using Python and its libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn); Experience with big data technologies, particularly Spark; Proficiency with Oracle/MS SQL databases; Experience with the following is considered an advantage: Workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow; Modern NLP techniques, including RAG/LLM; Git, Bash Scripting, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch). Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; Solid understanding of data management fundamentals and data storage principles; Knowledge of MLOps practices, including model versioning, deployment, and monitoring; Ability to prepare and present clear reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders; Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines; Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
