Role Description The Deputy Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Tbilisi, supporting the overall leadership and daily operations of the school. This role includes overseeing classroom activities, coordinating schedules, and ensuring adherence to Montessori philosophy and school policies. The Deputy Director will collaborate with teachers and staff to support curriculum implementation, student wellbeing, and family communication. Responsibilities also include assisting with staff supervision, enrollment processes, and administrative tasks, as well as contributing to school events, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Experience in educational leadership or school administration, preferably in a Montessori or child-centered learning environment. Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage daily operations and multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated commitment to holistic child development, including cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth. Ability to foster a caring, inclusive, and safe school environment that supports independence and interest-based learning. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Management, or a related field; Montessori training or certification is an advantage. Fluency in Georgian; proficiency in English and/or other languages is beneficial. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and readiness to be present on-site in Tbilisi during school operating hours.
