Role Description This is a contract, on-site role based in Akhalkalaki for an Electrical Group Leader / Electrical Engineer in the railway electrification field. The role involves leading a team responsible for electrical systems related to railway catenary, substations, and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and approving electrical designs, coordinating installation and commissioning activities, troubleshooting technical issues on site, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients. The person in this role will monitor project progress, prepare technical documentation and reports, and support testing, inspections, and quality control for electrical systems. The position also requires participation in safety briefings, adherence to industry and company procedures, and proactive risk identification and mitigation for all electrical works. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in Electricity and practical experience in electrical systems for industrial or infrastructure projects. Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and the ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Candidates should possess solid expertise in Electrical Engineering, including power systems, protection, and control principles. Candidates should possess experience related to Power Generation and distribution within rail or similar high-voltage environments. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Electrical Equipment such as transformers, switchgear, protection devices, and catenary components. Relevant university degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience leading technical teams and coordinating on-site installation or commissioning activities. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to high-voltage and railway environments. Ability to read and communicate in English and local languages sufficient for technical documentation and team coordination. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on site under time and safety constraints.
