## Job description

Role Overview: The Pharmacist provides evidence-based medication management, ensuring accurate and appropriate drug therapy for patients while complying with all regulatory standards (TJC, BOP, CMS). They oversee pharmacy technicians, participate in teaching, and contribute to the hospital's mission of compassionate care and excellence. Key Responsibilities Deliver clinical pharmaceutical care by preventing, detecting, and resolving medication-related issues, offering patient-centered therapy recommendations. Verify medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy, and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Educate patients, families, and staff on medication use. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and develop clinical guidelines. Ensure safe, efficient medication distribution, collaborating with pharmacy staff and overseeing technicians. Support professional development by mentoring students and residents, and engaging in educational activities. Contribute to program development, participate in committees, and promote continuous learning through seminars and memberships in professional organizations. Adhere to institutional policies, standards, and codes of conduct. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor or Doctorate in Pharmacy (preferred). Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license required. At least 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred. Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
