Expected Duration: 12 months (Contract) Job Type: Remote for Georgia Candidates only OR Nearshore Job Description We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to guide multiple software engineering teams within the AI Ready Data portfolio under Applied Innovation. This leadership role requires strategic planning, hands-on technical contributions, and proven experience integrating AI within the software development lifecycle. The role includes creating AI agents and harnesses, driving showcases, implementing best practices, and conducting code reviews to ensure quality. Responsibilities: Lead and manage multiple engineering teams with a collaborative, high-performance culture. Define and execute development strategy aligned to program and portfolio objectives. Coordinate with program and portfolio leads on goals, priorities, and delivery timelines. Establish, review, and enforce code quality standards and engineering best practices. Identify process improvements, resource optimization opportunities, and skills development needs. Champion AI adoption within the SDLC, including synthetic data generation and AI-driven tools. Design and build AI agents, skills, and harnesses supporting an AI-first approach. Apply hands-on expertise with Large Language Models and Generative AI technologies. Oversee Azure infrastructure, GitHub repositories, and GitHub Actions pipelines. Promote and leverage GitHub Copilot and Factory AI to improve efficiency and innovation. Drive innovation through showcases and continuous delivery of AI solutions. Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to standards. Mentor and support engineers to foster professional growth and continuous learning. Required Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years managing software engineering teams, with success leading multiple teams. Strong software engineering background with hands-on AI experience. Proven implementation of AI-first approaches, including AI agents and harnesses. Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI. Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and the .NET framework. Programming skills in Python and React. DevOps experience with GitHub repositories and GitHub Actions pipelines. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Factory AI. Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder management. Preferred Skills: Experience in Applied Innovation or similar portfolio leadership contexts. Experience showcasing AI solutions to executive and technical stakeholders.
