We're looking for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance of terminal equipment. This role is key to reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and driving operational excellence through Lean practices, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement. Locati: Poti, Georgia Key Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and develop the port equipment maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable, and effective maintenance operations. Oversee maintenance and repair activities across electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems of port equipment and machinery. Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed effectively through the IFS CMMS system to maximize equipment reliability and minimize recurring failures. Coordinate repair and maintenance activities with operational requirements while maintaining high quality and efficiency standards. Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and support procurement activities related to spare parts sourcing and ordering. Prepare maintenance, damage, and repair reports while maintaining equipment records, warranty information, inspection documentation, and technical procedures. Promote a strong safety culture through safety training coordination, incident reporting, investigations, and implementation of preventive actions. Who Are We Looking for? Higher technical education in a relevant engineering or technical discipline. Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as an engineer within port crane maintenance or port equipment maintenance operations. Strong knowledge of maintenance practices for complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to work with manufacturer technical documentation and equipment manuals. Proven experience managing technical personnel and developing team capability. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and make sound technical decisions in demanding operational environments. Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Georgian is preferred; candidates with strong Russian language skills will also be considered and this will be viewed as an advantage. About The Role As an Equipment Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational viability and reliability of port equipment and machinery. Reporting to the Asset Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance activities, technical supervision, and team development initiatives that directly support terminal performance. You will be responsible for ensuring maintenance work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. This includes managing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating corrective repair activities, monitoring spare parts availability, supporting procurement processes, and maintaining technical documentation and equipment records. The position has a direct impact on both operational performance and the financial success of the terminal.
