For our branch to be established in Tbilisi, we are urgently looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager who will support both the set-up phase and the ongoing management of local finance and accounting operations, in close coordination with Group HQ. Location: Tbilisi Department: Finance & Accounting Reporting Line: Dual-reporting to the HQ Finance and Business Control Senior Manager (Functional) and the Country Manager (Administrative) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead our local Finance & Accounting function. In this role you will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure full compliance with local statutory regulations and corporate policies and serve as the primary financial bridge between local management and Headquarters. Key Responsibilities Departmental Leadership & HQ Alignment: Oversee daily accounting functions, ensure adherence to group reporting standards, and serve as the main financial liaison for Headquarters. 1 Junior Accountant will be reporting to manager. Financial Reporting & Controlling: Prepare P&L statements, track monthly KPIs, and analyze weekly profitability reports to identify and address operational or commercial variances. General Ledger & Reconciliations: Maintain the Chart of Accounts, perform bank reconciliations in SAP Business One and manage intercompany and vendor/customer reconciliations. Tax Compliance & Payroll: Oversee quarterly corporate tax calculations, manage electronic VAT procedures and verify monthly payroll postings in SAP-B1. Working Capital & Credit Control: Monitor aging reports, verify customer payments prior to releasing Bills of Lading, manage the weekly vendor payment plan and resolve invoice disputes. ERP & Systems Optimization: Lead the continuous optimization of SAP Business One, supervise export billing timelines and manage master data setups. Compliance & Contract Management: Archive and manage all legal, vendor and bank contracts in SAP-B1 in accordance with group governance standards. Requirements & Qualifications Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accounting role Experience within maritime, logistics or shipping sectors is a strong qualifier Strong working knowledge of SAP Business One (SAP-B1) or similar ERP systems In-depth understanding of local statutory tax laws, VAT procedures and international financial reporting Experience managing dual-reporting structures and communicating with global/headquarters teams Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).
