Financial Manager

Location: Central Tbilisi Type: Full-time, office-based Start Date: Immediate start preferred, no later than August 15 Company: JBS Academy Group JBS Academy is looking for a Financial Manager to join our growing team and help manage the financial function of JBS Academy and its subsidiaries, including JBS School, JBS Kindergarten, JBS Basketball / NBA Basketball School Georgia, and JBS Institute. This is a hands-on role for a finance professional who is structured, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic growth environment. The Financial Manager will report directly to the CEO and COO and will later report to the CFO once the position is established. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day financial operations, cash flow, and internal financial controls Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and management reporting in Georgian and English Support financial modeling and business plan development for fundraising purposes Monitor tuition payments, receivables, and payment discipline Control expenses during the launch and growth phase of the business Coordinate with the chief accountant, external auditors, banks, and other financial partners Prepare financial materials for investor reporting and management review Conduct junior-level financial analysis to support management decisions Ensure supplier acceptance acts and supporting documents are properly signed before payments are made Communicate with suppliers when required regarding payment documentation and related matters Help establish financial reporting systems, tools, and processes across the group Candidate Profile 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance, financial management, audit, accounting, or related fields Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline Strong Excel and financial modeling skills Good understanding of budgeting, cash flow management, reporting, and internal controls Experience with accounting or ERP systems is a plus Audit or Big 4 experience is an advantage Strong written and spoken Georgian and English Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive Team-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment What We Offer Competitive compensation Opportunity to join an ambitious education and sports platform at an important growth stage Direct exposure to senior management and strategic business planning A professional, dynamic, and mission-driven work environment Interested candidates can apply through LinkedIn or send their CV to [email protected].
