Role Overview: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities in patients with injuries or diseases. Services are delivered across the full continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-efficiency, and patient satisfaction, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Treatment Planning & Care: Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient/family input, provides education, discharge instructions, and referrals. Patient Assessment: Collaborates with physicians to evaluate and establish treatment and discharge plans aligned with patient goals. Documentation: Records evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental protocols. Professional Conduct & Customer Service: Adheres to ethical practices, maintains confidentiality, communicates effectively, demonstrates teamwork, and fosters a positive environment. Professional Development: Participates in ongoing education, certifications, and training to maintain licensure and improve skills. Qualifications & Skills Educational requirements include a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Licenses: Valid PT license and BLS certification required upon hire. Essential skills include effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer proficiency. Additional Notes: The role involves performing other duties as assigned, adhering to policies, and contributing to a respectful, diverse, and safe workplace environment.
