## Job description

**General Manager - Custody & Compliance**

Description

We are looking for a General Manager to own Custody & Compliance at GoMining end-to-end — strategy, product, operations, P&L, team, and business results.

This is not a traditional compliance role. You will own the infrastructure and customer experience behind custody, deposits and withdrawals, KYC/AML, Travel Rule, fraud prevention, and external providers.

Your goal is to build a scalable system where compliance protects the business without creating unnecessary friction for legitimate customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the Custody & Compliance strategy, roadmap, budget, metrics, and business results.
• Own custody infrastructure, deposits and withdrawals, KYC/AML, Travel Rule, and fraud controls.
• Improve onboarding conversion, transaction speed, reliability, and customer experience.
• Build scalable compliance operations and data-driven risk controls.
• Own relationships with custody, KYC, AML, and infrastructure providers, including commercial negotiations.
• Work closely with Legal, Risk, Engineering, and C-level stakeholders.
• Lead a dedicated engineering team, own priorities and delivery, and drive automation and AI adoption.

Requirements

• Strong experience in crypto custody, payments, KYC/AML, or financial infrastructure.
• Background in a crypto exchange, wallet, broker, crypto bank, BaaS, custody platform, or similar environment.
• Hands-on experience with Fireblocks, Copper, BitGo, Uphold, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of KYC, AML, Travel Rule, transaction monitoring, and fraud prevention.
• Experience managing external providers and negotiating commercial terms.
• Strong product, commercial, and analytical mindset.
• Technical literacy and experience working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience owning teams, delivery, and measurable business outcomes.
