About the Role: The Group Legal Officer will work closely with the Group’s management and business leaders, providing legal support and guidance across UFG’s companies, jurisdictions, and business activities. This is a key role for a legal professional who combines strong legal expertise with commercial awareness, and who is comfortable working with senior management, external legal advisors, regulators, and international partners. Previous experience in a senior legal or legal leadership position within a financial institution, bank, fintech, payment company, or other regulated financial structure will be considered highly important. Experience in an international or multinational company will be a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities: Providing legal support and advice to UFG companies and management across a range of corporate and business matters; Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements and other legal documentation; Supporting corporate governance and legal processes across the Group; Providing legal guidance on cross-border activities and international business projects; Monitoring regulatory and legislative developments relevant to the Group’s businesses; Coordinating with external legal counsel and international legal partners across different jurisdictions; Supporting compliance-related and regulatory matters; Identifying legal risks and providing practical, business-oriented solutions; Supporting the Group’s management in strategic projects and business decisions from a legal perspective. Candidate Profile: We are looking for a strong legal professional with relevant leadership experience, who can operate independently and effectively in a complex international business environment. Key requirements: University degree in Law; Proven experience in a senior legal, Legal Manager, Head of Legal, or similar legal leadership position; Experience within a bank, financial institution, payment/fintech company, microfinance organization, or another regulated financial structure is highly important; Experience working in an international or multinational company is a strong advantage; Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law; Experience working with senior management and external legal advisors; Excellent command of English and Russian; Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; Ability to assess legal risks and provide clear, practical, and business-oriented solutions; High level of responsibility, professionalism, and attention to detail; Ability to work effectively across multiple jurisdictions and in a fast-paced international environment.
