Java Intern

02 August Asterbit is an international software development company and a subsidiary of JSC "Oppa". We build software solutions for fintech and energy companies, working with both local and international clients. Our parent company, JSC "Oppa", is also behind PayBox is a well-known payment terminal service in Georgia. We`re now looking for a Java Intern to join our development team and get real hands-on experience working on real systems. This role is a good fit if you`re at the beginning of your career and want to learn backend development in a real engineering environment. What you`ll do: ** Help build and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring MVC ** Support development of REST APIs for backend services and client integrations ** Work on external system integrations using REST, SOAP, and HTTP clients ** Write and improve unit tests with JUnit, Spock, or Mockito ** Work with middle and senior developers and learn from code reviews ** Use Git, Maven, and Gradle in multi-module projects ** Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL using JPA/Hibernate and JDBC ** Learn how real production systems are built and maintained What we`re looking for: ** Basic knowledge of Java (study projects or personal practice is fine) ** Understanding of OOP principles ** Some awareness of Spring Boot is a plus, but not required ** Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON ** Interest in backend development, databases, and system integrations ** Willingness to learn and improve every day ** Responsible and motivated attitude.
