Journalist

TheDiary is looking for a journalist with taste, curiosity and a strong sense of what makes a story worth telling. We are a Tbilisi-based lifestyle media platform covering fashion, beauty, travel, food and contemporary culture. We create smart, curated stories for readers who care about what is new, relevant and worth knowing. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Tbilisi, combining in-person collaboration with work-from-home flexibility. You will research and pitch fresh story ideas, write timely news and thoughtful features, conduct interviews, attend events and keep a close eye on the trends shaping fashion, beauty, travel, food and culture. You will be expected to verify every fact, find credible sources and turn information into stories people actually want to read. You will also work closely with our editors, designers and social media team to plan content and adapt stories across web and social platforms. We are looking for someone who: – Writes confidently in both Georgian and English – Has strong news and editorial writing skills – Knows how to research, fact-check and verify sources – Understands digital culture and follows emerging trends – Has a genuine interest in fashion, beauty, travel, food and contemporary culture – Can work independently, meet deadlines and contribute ideas – Understands what makes a story relevant, engaging and shareable A degree in journalism, communications or media studies is an advantage, but curiosity, taste, accuracy and a strong portfolio matter more.
