Vacancy - Quality Assurance Engineer / Laboratory Technician Sagarejo - Georgia For more information about us, please visit our website at: www.irdeng.com IRD Engineering has been working in Georgia for more than ten years, mainly in the field of transport infrastructure, currently active on several IFI-financed road supervision contracts. We are aiming to strengthen our local team by incorporating a full-time, permanent Quality Assurance Engineer / Laboratory Technician, based in Sagarejo Job Site to directly support the supervision team. We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance Engineer / Laboratory Technician to provide continuous on-site supervision of laboratory testing activities for a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be permanently stationed at the project laboratory to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all testing procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining independent oversight of all laboratory operations and ensuring that testing is performed in accordance with the project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: ** Remain permanently stationed at the project laboratory during laboratory operations; ** Continuously observe and monitor all laboratory testing activities conducted by the contractor; ** Verify that all testing is performed in accordance with approved standards, specifications, procedures, and quality requirements; ** Supervise laboratory practices to ensure that no unauthorized manipulations or practices influence test results; ** Witness sampling, sample preparation, testing, recording, and reporting processes; ** Identify, document, and immediately report any non-conformities, irregularities, or deviations from established procedures; ** Review laboratory records, test reports, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy; ** Coordinate with the Engineer, Supervision Consultant, and Project Management Team regarding laboratory performance and quality issues; ** Prepare daily and weekly reports summarizing laboratory activities, observations, and any identified concerns. The ideal candidate must fulfil the following requirements: ** Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related technical discipline; ** Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quality assurance, materials testing, or laboratory supervision on infrastructure or construction projects; ** Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, with the ability to prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with the project team; ** Thorough knowledge of international testing standards and quality management systems; ** Strong understanding of laboratory quality control procedures, testing protocols, and construction material testing; ** Experience working on road, bridge, or other infrastructure projects is highly desirable; ** Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills; ** Attention to details.
