Current projects span Kampot pepper, coffee, teak hardwood, and other productive assets in Cambodia, Uruguay, and emerging markets around the world. We need someone to find opportunities, investigate them, help close the purchases, organize planting, and stay responsible for what happens afterward. Recent graduates welcome; no work experience required. In fact, we prefer people who haven't spent years having their initiative beaten out of them by soulless corporations. You can arrive without an impressive CV but you cannot arrive expecting someone to push you through every working day. We will train the right person and give them substantial responsibility. More on that in a minute. What is this company? Vesper is the family office of Andrew Henderson, founder of Nomad Capitalist. Over the next generation, we're building a network of businesses and investments across advisory, events, consumer brands, agriculture, public markets, and other opportunities in emerging markets. We're a Global South-first company. We believe many of the best future investments are in places most people aren't discussing today. We were early in countries like Georgia, Turkey, and Cambodia. Now we're building in the next great markets. What you'll be doing This is a full-time role based where the right person lives within the Global South. You'll work from home, with site visits and international travel as your responsibilities develop. A valid passport and willingness to travel are required. Early travel will be economy class and three-star hotels all the way. You'll research markets, find properties, contact owners and brokers, assess agricultural opportunities, and work out whether the numbers make sense. You'll work with local advisors and specialists to establish what is true and what somebody is merely trying to sell us. Then you'll help move suitable deals through purchase, planting, and ongoing management. Your work should tell us what we need to know, what remains uncertain, and what you recommend doing next. Clear reports matter because they help us make decisions. The corporate world produces enough people who can turn an unanswered question into a 40-slide presentation. We need the answer and actual results. Reports alone mean nothing here; only pepper poles planted, coffee harvested, and teak with a plan to market. And as you grow, we expect you to spot trends and bring us opportunities we haven't thought of. Who we're looking for We're more interested in your ability to learn, think, and take responsibility than your ability to recite the correct interview answers. An open-minded graduate can go a long way here. A so-called professional who treats every correction as an injury to their status will have a miserable time. The ideal candidate: Has a degree in agriculture, agronomy, forestry, agribusiness, real estate, or a related field. Can research land, agricultural markets, and investment opportunities, then explain their conclusions clearly. Understands basic financial modeling and can compare purchase, planting, and operating costs against plausible returns. Communicates clearly in written and spoken English. Can work across countries, cultures, and time zones. Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages are useful. Has a strong interest in international business and investment. Can use Excel and research tools effectively. Familiarity with GIS, mapping tools, and relevant databases is valuable. You should also know how to use AI to accelerate research and test your thinking, but you remain responsible for checking what it tells you. You don't need to have done this job before. You need enough underlying knowledge to learn quickly and enough honesty to admit when you don't know something. How we operate (and who will love this role) We're looking for someone hungry, humble, honest, and eager to become very good at something. Humble means you can learn and accept correction. It also means you can tell us we're wrong when you have the evidence. This is the antithesis of a job with hierarchy; here, the person who moves fastest, is right first, and gets the deal done wins, no matter their place in the org chart. And we don't have an org chart. Our management team, including Mr. Henderson, has personally trained people who entered roles like this and went on to become executives within our companies or start businesses of their own.
