They perform waived testing under supervision, evaluate specimen acceptability, and enter patient and test data accurately into computer systems. The role includes assisting in supervisory tasks, leading quality and process improvement initiatives, and providing clerical support for billing and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Collect and verify samples, ensuring proper patient preparation and transport. Maintain safety standards and utilize personal protective equipment. Communicate effectively with laboratory, clinical, and physician teams. Lead quality and process improvement activities. Assist with billing, troubleshooting, data gathering, and documentation accuracy. Adhere to organizational policies and standards of conduct. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience. Certifications such as BLS, CPT, MLT (ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire, with additional certifications within specified timeframes. Knowledge of laboratory and hospital regulations, strong technical skills, and leadership abilities.
