Lead SAP Retail Master Data Consultant

We are looking for a Lead SAP Retail Master Data Consultant to convert complex business needs into top-tier SAP solutions across various formats, channels, countries, and business models. In this position, you will design, configure, and deliver scalable master data solutions, work in coordination with offshore teams, provide support to European Operating Companies, and drive continuous improvement together with internal stakeholders and external partners. Responsibilities Convert business needs into advanced capabilities by leveraging best-in-class standard packages Pinpoint necessary localizations or enhancements, backed by well-defined business cases Draft functional requirements that guide application design and development Propose solutions, configure the system, and prepare detailed WRICEF functional specifications Coordinate with offshore development teams to make sure technical solutions align with functional requirements and quality standards Perform Unit and Functional testing and support both integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) Deliver top-tier, scalable, sustainable, and integrated business solutions across multiple formats, channels, countries, and business models Contribute to Change Management activities by providing training content and supporting organizational transformation Provide 3rd Level functional support, application administration, and troubleshooting across all European Operating Companies within scope Team up with peers across applications and modules to ensure smooth integration Build and nurture effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to secure optimal cooperation within your area of expertise Spot opportunities for business process and system enhancements with a clear business case in partnership with the vendor Requirements 5 or more years of experience implementing SAP applications from design through Go-Live, with deep expertise across SAP IS Retail functionalities At least 1 year of experience leading and managing teams Knowledge of SAP IS Retail master data business processes covering Article, sites, customer, vendor and info records, pricing conditions, and article hierarchies Expertise in business change, escalation, process management, and business systems requirements definition Ability to deliver top-tier SAP solutions with high-quality design, based on complex business requirements Strong functional and technical grasp of SAP IS Retail master data functionalities, architecture, and data model Proficiency in managing core master data objects including Article (single, generic, variants), Site (stores, DCs), customer, vendor and purchase info records, assortment and listing/delisting, pricing conditions, and article hierarchies Expertise in the enhancement process of master data objects with additional fields in standard and custom tables, screens and tabs, together with hands-on SAP configuration (IMG) Skills in creating custom Fiori apps for master data maintenance covering article, vendor, customer, site master data, and assortments, along with knowledge of parameterization frameworks and value mapping logic Understanding of integrating master data objects with POS, WMS, and eCommerce platforms, including ALE/EDI frameworks, IDocs, file transfers (CSV, XML, JSON), APIs, OData, and middleware such as SAP PI/PO or MuleSoft Expertise in standard IDocs, along with the creation and extension of custom message types and IDocs, and familiarity with standard BAPIs, Function modules, RFCs, and user exits Experience using standard mass update tools together with creating custom mass update tools and LSMW Understanding of end-to-end retail processes such as P2P (SAP MM), Merchandising, and O2C (SAP SD), including the integration between these modules along with FI Ability to facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, analyze requirements, and translate them into functional specifications enriched with technical detail We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Healthcare benefits Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
