Maintains equipment, records, and participates in quality assurance activities. May supervise and teach laboratory staff. Key Responsibilities Ensure correct patient and specimen identification, error rate management, and documentation of QA investigations. Accurately analyze, interpret, and report lab data within established turnaround times. Monitor test statuses, document notifications, and facilitate effective communication within the team. Contribute to performance improvements, inspection readiness, and cost-efficient high-quality testing. Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, participating in ongoing education and safety practices. Support laboratory process improvements, participate in meetings, committees, and projects. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred. Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire. Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred. Proficiency in computer/data entry, communication skills, and knowledge of Excel, Word; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
