Mid-Level Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney Atlanta Preferred | Multiple U.S. Offices | 3–6 Years’ Experience | $240,000–$410,000 A growing national real estate finance practice is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its transactional team. Atlanta is the preferred location , with opportunities also available across several major U.S. markets. This is a compelling opportunity for an associate with meaningful commercial real estate finance experience who wants to take greater ownership of sophisticated transactions while developing experience across an increasingly diverse range of financing structures. The Role The associate will represent lenders, borrowers, buyers, sellers, and other market participants in complex commercial real estate financing transactions. The Practice Encompasses Matters Including Loan originations and refinancings Loan restructurings and workouts Preferred equity financings Warehouse lending structures Commercial real estate repurchase facilities Note-on-note financings Single-asset, portfolio, and revolving financing structures Loan sales, assignments, and related secondary transactions Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sophisticated financing documentation Managing due diligence and transaction execution Coordinating all aspects of complex closings Associates will be expected to take meaningful responsibility for transactions, identify and resolve issues efficiently, and work closely with clients and colleagues throughout the deal lifecycle. The Opportunity The position offers the chance to develop a broad real estate finance practice rather than being limited to a narrow category of lending transactions. Associates can gain exposure to traditional mortgage lending alongside structured and increasingly sophisticated financing arrangements. The successful candidate will join a collaborative national team with opportunities to contribute to the continued growth of the practice. The role should particularly appeal to attorneys who want substantive responsibility, challenging transactional work, and the ability to develop their experience across different financing products and client perspectives. Candidate Profile Candidates should have 3–6 years of commercial real estate finance experience , ideally representing lenders and/or borrowers in sophisticated financing transactions. Applicants should have substantial experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan and financing documents, conducting and managing due diligence, and taking transactions through closing. Candidates must have a JD and previous experience working in a law firm . Active Bar admission in the jurisdiction in which the attorney will practice is also required. Strong academic credentials, excellent drafting and communication skills, commercial problem-solving ability, and the capacity to navigate complex transactions efficiently are essential. The annual salary range is $240,000–$410,000 , depending on experience. A discretionary performance-based bonus may also be available.
