## Job description

This is a per diem, 1099 independent contractor role. About Us Hawthorne Health is a leading community site network and home research visit solution provider, with 20+ sites and more than 2,000 research experienced healthcare professionals across the U.S. By embedding high-quality research within local communities, Hawthorne makes clinical trials more accessible and convenient for patients. About The Role We are expanding our Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work Per Diem on an exciting new decentralized clinical study. In this role, you will travel regionally (may be local or across state lines) to patient homes to conduct in- home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, paid on a per-visit basis. Travel expenses incurred per visit may include mileage, airfare, and hotel accommodations, reimbursed on a per-visit basis. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits, volume varies by region Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment WHAT YOU BRING | REQUIREMENTS Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging required (e.g. RDCS or RCS plus RVT or RVS through ARDMS or CCI) Full time, or close to full time, availability 3+ years of recent sonography experience in both cardiac and vascular imaging Basic Life Support (BLS) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required; tech savvy and self sufficient with digital tools Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings Excellent patient communication and bedside manner Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments Time management and organizational skills We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
