## Job description

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services with independence, precision, and compassion. The technologist assesses patient conditions, prepares and positions patients, operates imaging equipment, and ensures proper identification and safety protocols. They respond to emergencies, maintain equipment, and support departmental operations to deliver optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and evaluate contraindications. Administer contrast media safely, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Review images for quality, verify patient identity, and adhere to safety and sterile techniques. Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and ensure dignity and comfort. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, and uphold infection control standards. Assist in training staff and document procedures accurately. Support department operations, including patient transport, supply restocking, and maintaining a clean environment. Comply with all policies, standards, and regulations, including taking call when needed. Qualifications & Skills Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion. ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification and BLS certification required. Minimum one year clinical experience, preferably in MRI. Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail. Knowledge of MRI procedures, anatomy, pathology, and safety protocols.
