## Job description

Role Overview: The RN Resident is responsible for successfully completing a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduates with less than 6 months of nursing experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized, high-quality patient care following current standards and evidence-based practices. Collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams, communicate with patients and families, and utilize critical thinking to assess and plan care. Support performance improvement, participate in research activities, and serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified nursing workforce. Develop protocols, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and ethical codes. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma or Bachelors). Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Less than 1 year of RN experience preferred. Strong communication, computer, and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare software (Epic, 3M preferred). Core Duties: Perform nursing processes, coordinate care, document accurately, and promote safe, patient-centered practices. Engage in teamwork, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice, all while maintaining professionalism and compliance with healthcare standards.
