## Job description

Role Overview: A Nuclear Medicine technologist provides safe, patient-centered imaging services by performing diagnostic procedures according to departmental protocols. They independently operate equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety, privacy, and comfort. Key Responsibilities Verify clinician orders and obtain comprehensive clinical histories. Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, monitor patient condition, and respond to emergencies. Properly identify patients, explain procedures, and address questions to minimize anxiety. Maintain equipment, ensure image quality, and send studies to PACS promptly. Assist with patient transport, setup, and documentation; restock supplies; and uphold infection control standards. Collaborate with team members, follow safety and regulatory standards, and participate in training. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of clinical patient care experience, with preferred nuclear medicine background. Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion. Certifications: ARRT-R or CNMT, and BLS certification. Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently, handle stress, and prioritize effectively. The technologist may also mentor staff and participate in ongoing education, ensuring compliance with all policies and standards.
