## Job description

Role Overview: The occupational therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to restore or improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. They provide services across the continuum, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies, involving patients and families. Treatment Planning & Care: Implement therapy plans, select appropriate activities, revise goals with input, and provide patient and family education. Offer discharge instructions and referrals. Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, educational efforts, and discharge details per departmental guidelines. Professional Conduct: Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, punctuality, dress code compliance, effective communication, and participate in meetings and training. Customer Service & Teamwork: Apply AIDET principles, foster a positive environment, demonstrate respect, and support collaboration with colleagues and patients. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete competencies, participate in orientation, and meet mandatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree). Licensed as an Occupational Therapist and BLS-certified (or instructor). Effective communicator, team-oriented, customer-service focused, with basic computer skills.
