## Job description

Role Overview: The occupational therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, establish goals, and plan discharges, involving patients and families. Care Delivery: Implement treatment plans, select appropriate activities, revise goals, provide patient and family education, and coordinate follow-ups and referrals. Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge instructions per departmental standards. Professional Conduct: Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, punctuality, and professionalism, and participate in meetings and training. Customer Service & Teamwork: Apply AIDET principles, foster positive interactions, and promote teamwork and respect among staff and patients. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, and assist in training new staff. Qualifications & Skills Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program with a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Licenses and certifications: OT license and BLS certification required at hire. Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
