## Job description

Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the full continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies. Implement and adjust therapy interventions, selecting appropriate activities to meet patient goals. Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans according to departmental standards. Maintain ethical practices, confidentiality, punctuality, and professional appearance. Communicate effectively with team members, participate in meetings, and contribute to process improvement. Promote a positive environment through excellent customer service and teamwork, applying principles like AIDET. Engage in ongoing professional development, mandatory education, and training of new staff. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree). Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist and BLS or BLS Instructor certification. Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork skills, and basic computer proficiency.
