## Job description

Role Overview The occupational therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are provided across the continuum, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Implement and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and goals. Educate patients and families, providing discharge instructions and community resource referrals. Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans per departmental standards. Adhere to ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with team members. Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and team meetings. Foster a positive environment, prioritize patient satisfaction, and demonstrate excellent customer service using AIDET principles. Ensure safe, efficient use of materials and equipment, observing infection control protocols. Qualifications & Skills Masters or Bachelors in Occupational Therapy. Licensure as an Occupational Therapist and BLS certification. Effective communication, customer service focus, team orientation, and basic computer skills.
