Role Description The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operational activities for GEOMAR’s maritime consulting and surveying services. This full-time, role includes planning and coordinating survey assignments, managing resources and schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services to clients and partners. The Operations Manager will monitor compliance with internal quality standards and external certifications, support relationships with insurance companies, and associates, and help optimize workflows and processes. The role also involves, preparing operational reports, addressing operational issues, and collaborating closely with leadership to support business objectives and continuous improvement. Qualifications Operational management skills, including planning, coordination, and process optimization in a service-oriented environment. Preferred: e xperience in insurance, maritime, shipping, or marine surveying operations. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and quality standards. Communication skills for working with clients, associates, and internal teams (Georgian / English). People management capabilities, including team supervision, workload allocation, and performance monitoring. Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with competence in using standard office software and reporting tools. Mandatory bachelor’s degree. Preferred in law, maritime studies, logistics, business administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Language proficiency: English (verbal and written/writing skills) Ability to work on-site (expected 1-2 times a month). We Offer: A friendly working environment.
