Core Duties Include Providing casting, splinting, bracing, and orthotics services as ordered, assisting with fitting and application of pre-operative braces and soft goods. (60%) Supporting ancillary staff with suture/staple removal, dressing changes, and pin removal, ensuring competency in brace fitting. (25%) Assisting with patient intake, rooming, discharge procedures, and patient/staff education on casting and bracing. (5%) Monitoring and managing supplies within budget, with oversight from management. (5%) May serve as a Patient Care Assistant or CMA during staffing shortages, ensuring compliance with accreditation and safety standards.
